The crippling country to mothers are treated with great respect and trembling. It is for this reason that we celebrate Mother’s Day, the day when we can thank mothers for their sleepless nights, patience and love.

Mother’s Day is an international holiday, when children give their mothers cards and children’s hand-made articles, prepare breakfast, devote their mother poems and songs. Each mother appreciates attention, but she will note pleasant things too.
In Ukraine, mother’s day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. In 2017, the celebration falls on May 14.

For the first time, Mother’s Day appeared in the UK in the 17th century, it was customary to celebrate Mother’s Sunday. On this day, all mothers were congratulated and sincerely thanked for their care. The Chinese perceive Mother’s Day as an opportunity to pay homage to mothers for work, an unselfish sacrifice for the sake of the child’s good and boundless love. On this day, many people buy flowers and various souvenirs to make a pleasant surprise. In many cities, adult children arrange matrimonial performances for mothers, set the table with a rich meal for everyone who comes to the celebration.
Mother’s Day in the USA
The history of Mother’s Day in America began in 1908, when a young American Anna Jervis from Philadelphia took the initiative of honoring mothers in memory of her mother, who was no longer alive. She wrote to state institutions, legislatures and even public people, offering to allocate one day a year and dedicate it to honoring mothers. The girl achieved her goal and two years later Mother’s Day was recognized as an official holiday. In the US, Mother’s Day by popularity is not inferior to other holidays, and the number of people who want to buy a gift for this day is increasing every year more and more.
